City of St. Paul - Smith Avenue Transit Center

This intermodal transportation center was constructed in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. Funding sources included $6.8M from federal funds,
$1M from Metropolitan Transit and the balance from St. Paul Housing and Redevelopment Authority.

State and local contracting requirements were managed by CPMI including collection and reporting of prevailing wages, minority and women participation in the work force and use of disadvantaged business. Work in place was observed by CPMI and deficiencies corrected. CPMI coordinated the use of independent testing and inspection entities to enhance quality control.

CPMI provided full construction management services from preconstruciton through owner occupancy. We prepared monthly draw requests for the Owner including all costs and kept track of all funding sources. CPMI led all construction meetings and documented each with minutes. During close out CPMI prepared and submitted to the Owner all required documents, including warranties, Operation and maintenance manuals, verification of payment of debts, state withholdings and consent of surety.
