Madison Public Schools - Elementary School
The project is a 33,800 SF single story building with a 4,000 SF addition for classrooms. The work included structural revisions, modifications of classroom configurations, new restrooms, a new administrative area, renovated multipurpose room, kitchen renovations, complete asbestos removal, extensive mechanical, electrical and architectural renovations, and installation of a new fi re protection system.
The successful completion of this project was scheduled and constructed in several phases which were in coordination with the school district’s previously scheduled calendar year. Satisfactory completion was achieved by close coordination of multiple contractors performing installations and work around daily class schedules and activities, during both the regular school year as well as during summer school and after school activities.
“Through CPMI’s involvement, the project was completed on time, significantly under budget, and we have a vastly improved educational facility now for our youngest students and the staff who work with them. I encourage districts to consider using the construction management approach.”
