City of St. Paul - Fire Station No. 8
CPMI worked with the State of Minnesota, Saint Paul Port Authority, City of Saint Paul two design teams and multiple contractors on this unique project. It is a 2-level fire station built within a parking ramp. First floor includes five (5) bay apparatus space, training room, equipment storage, watch office, kitchen and dining, day room and fitness room. An AHU serving the station is included on 3rd floor. A two story hose tower is included with electric hoists.
CPMI was involved in total project management from inception to occupancy. Because the fire station portion was not originally designed to co-locate within the Department of Human Services parking structure, modifications to the ramp had to be tracked along with the station costs. CPMI developed a financial status reporting system that showed the combined and the separate costs associated with each project. CPMI was intimately involved in all aspects of scope/budget development, quality control, cost management, contract negotiations, master scheduling, project closeout and Owner training.
