City Of Centerville - Drake Public Library Restoration

CPMI served as Construction Manager for Renovations to the historic Drake Public Library in Centerville, Iowa. The work was done in two phases while the building was occupied. CPMI planned and coordinated work with the Owner so as to keep the facility fully functional and opened to the public during the renovations.

Control and mitigation of dust, noise and other construction related impacts was essential to the success of the project. CPMI also arranged for the testing and abatement of environmental hazards.

One of the biggest challenges CPMI successfully coordinated was the rework of a 30’ diameter stain glass dome directly over the library circulation desk.

CPMI also assisted the Owner in managing funding sources from local option sales tax, donations and grants. CPMI was active in helping local grant writers prepare requirements and manage grant dollars.
