CPMI successfully partnered with our client, Frisbie Architects, to provided cost management services for the Memorial Student Center Renovation project located on the University of Wisconsin – Stout campus in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
CPMI provided a base bid estimate of $13,660,000. The low combined bid result was $13,182,500, 3.5% below CPMI’s estimate and 4.7% below the $13,833,000 budget. The bid range from high to low was 25%. In the time of economic uncertainty, the Owner was very pleased with the project results.
The design intent is to modernize the 1985-constructed building by creating open space with natural sunlight inside for student organizations, dining, socializing and other activities. Two main building entrances will be expanded and rearranged to become more easily identifiable. The 105,000 GSF building will include remodeling of meeting rooms, lounge spaces, food services, bookstore and service center. Complete building mechanical and electrical upgrades were included in the project scope.
