Shakopee City Hall Groundbreaking

Groundbreaking for the new $9.8 million Shakopee City Hall was held on 6 June 2016. The project is designed by BKV group. The new building is two stories with a total of 25,450 square feet and will connect with the existing Police Station. A structural steel frame will be used and the exterior consist of prefinished metal panels, brick, architectural precast, GFRC panels and extensive use of glazing.

Construction cost of $7.8 million was divided between 30 contracts. Work is scheduled to start in early June and be completed by May 2017. Paul Oberhaus is the Senior Project Manager and Cindy Dillahunty is the Project Manager.
