Senior Cost Estimator

Requirements:

5-7 years of related experience and bachelor’s degree preferred. Strong mechanical, process piping or military type construction experience desired.  Candidates are required to have good communication skills, attention to detail, extensive knowledge of multiple trade construction materials, methods, estimating practices and costs. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PlanSwift, Project Time & Control TRACES estimating program preferred.

CORPORATE CONTROLLER

Description:

The CPMI Corporate Controller is responsible for the overall financial management of four corporate entities: CPMI, Inc. (Construction Management), CPMI Construction LC (General Construction Contractor), PF Services, LP (Leasing Company), and CPMI-CRE Coralville LP, (a Building Management Company).    The Company has offices in Eagan, MN and the home office in Des Moines, lA. All accounting is done out of the home office.  This position reports to the President and the CEO and manages the corporate accounting functions, ensuring that data necessary for business operations is timely, accurate and reliable. This is position is in charge of cash management, billing and accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting including the preparation of monthly financial statements and cash and accounts receivable  reports as required by management. The Companies currently use Peachtree Construction Accounting Software.  Payroll responsibility (for 25 - 30 employees, all in one company) includes entering new employees to the third  party payroll administrator's website and submitting hours monthly for processing.

The Controller position also coordinates Human Resource (HR) functions and Insurance programs  with various third  party providers. The Group Health Plan and Company 401K Plan are administered by outside administrators who rely on the controller to help process enrollments and changes.
 

Requirements:

Candidates for the Controller position should have a minimum of four years of experience in performing all aspects of general ledger accounting, receivables, payroll and payables.  A four year degree is desirable, but hands on work experience may be considered.
